Here at Ponte Vedra Beach Surgery Center, we want to make the entire surgical procedure as comfortable and hassle-free as possible for you. Our dedicated staff will be making all the necessary preparations and arrangements for your upcoming visit in our Ponte Vedra Beach, FL facility.
We will contact you prior to your scheduled procedure to go over the details of your surgery such as arrival times and medical history for anesthesia. Furthermore, we will take the time to answer or address any questions or concerns you may have.
In adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy laws, we are not allowed to disclose any information about your surgery or medical history to any individual unless you give us your consent.

Preparing for Your Surgery
Do not drink or eat anything 8 hours before your procedure; this is very important, and failure to comply will result in the postponement of your surgery
Do not smoke, dip, or chew tobacco 12 hours before your scheduled procedure time
If you are taking medications for high blood pressure or diabetes, contact your surgeon or discuss this with our nursing staff to ensure proper instructions
If you experience any change in health between your recent visit to the doctor and the day of the procedure, notify your doctor immediately; report any minor changes such as an elevated temperature, cough, or cold
If you are pregnant or even suspect that you are, please notify your doctor
For your own safety, you will not be allowed to drive a motor vehicle for 24 hours following your procedure; please make arrangements to have someone drive you and stay with you until you are dismissed; parents may want to have an additional adult to assist in accompanying a child home
